This day and age, we all live in an automatic opt-in Society, where everything I sign up for records information about me, and sells it to the highest bidder(s). This could be something as simple as signing up for a newsletter, or as egregious as a data breach from a well-known company. Either way, information about me is being sold without my consent, or in most cases without my knowledge of consent, the automatic opt-in method.
I am disgusted by all the spam calls, text messages and emails I receive everyday. My goal is to opt-out and stop companies from selling information about me. This information is mine and I do not consent to anyone making money on it. Privacy should not be a luxury! Join me as I document my findings and provide as much details as possible along the way.
